Andrew Brown, Managing Director

Andrew has over 12 years' business and technology experience gained from large plc companies and leading edge Progress software houses. His ability to convert a business challenge into a business solution is widely recognised in his field. At Progressive Computer Systems Ltd he worked with Robert Davison on pan-European IT systems for international companies requiring complex applications and systems integration. He acquired commercial systems experience whilst working on a number of  business solutions that were technologically advanced at the time. Pace Commerce Ltd was formed in April 2007 with Robert Davison, to provide Progress based skills and services to businesses.

   Robert Davison

Robert has over 30 years’ business and management experience working for Software Houses and one of the large Management Consultancy businesses. He started Progressive Computer Systems Ltd (PCSL) a Progress Software House in 1995, growing the company over the years,  received a prestigious 'Deloitte’s Fast 50' award for one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the North. PCSL won the contracts to supply software for retail and cash handling to household names including Securicor G4S, Comet group plc, Glasgow City Council, South Staffordshire Water plc and Reg Vardy plc. The company was acquired by Sanderson Group plc in 2005 and he remained as Managing Director until early 2007.

Robert was one of the founder members of the Progress User Group (PUG) and is still involved in the PUG today. He firmly believes that Progress Software is still the developers tool of choice to deliver robust business applications that can scale. A huge fan of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Robert is an advocate for browser based applications.
